Bee-Friendly Flower Garden

It's finally Spring! 🌻  The sun is shinning a little brighter, the flowers are starting to bloom, and the bees are starting to hum a little louder.

The humming of bees swirling among the flowers is a sound that pleases every gardener. Bees are so very vital to our earth's ecosystem. They help pollinate the plants that make our plant beautiful.  They also pollinate plants that produce foods such as tomatoes, apples, berries, broccoli, potatoes, nuts, and coffee beans. While there are other lovely pollinators such as butterflies and hummingbirds, most of the pollination is done by these powerful little bees.

It is so important to protect bees by creating a habitat that supports their survival. For example, anyone can create a little bee-friendly garden to support the protection and safety of bees by providing three essential elements: water, shelter, and food. The Pollinator Partnership provides guides on creating a pollinator habitat. Here are some photos from my bee-friendly garden.
