Simple Cranberry Tart
Autumn is cranberry season and this beautiful red berry is included in many Thanksgiving and Christmas recipes. For our Thanksgiving menu this year, I made this simple cranberry tart, from a recipe I found on Taste of Home, and it is a delicious and delightful holiday dessert!
Ingredients
- 1 twelve ounce package of fresh cranberries
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup melted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Baking Steps
- Preheat the oven to 325°.
- Mix the cranberries with 1/2 cup sugar, then place them in a 9 to 11 inch tart pan.
- Combine the eggs, melted butter, vanilla extract and 1/4 cup sugar. Then add the flour and mix until all the ingredients are combined.
- Pour the cake batter over the cranberries and use a spatula to spread the batter evenly.
- Place the tart pan on a baking sheet and bake the tart in the oven for 45-60 minutes.
- Cool the baked cranberry tart on a wire rack.
