Planning for Spring Flowers in September

As summer turns into autumn, the poppies and wild daisies in my cottage garden begin to close their blooms, but they leave the promise of more springtime flowers with the bountiful seeds they produce. The seeds fall back into the earth as the flowers dry.  I also gather and store some seeds in mason jars so I can sprinkle them in the flower garden after the winter rains. The poppies and wild daisies return in the spring and gracefully frolic in the sunshine, attracting bees and butterflies, until the end of summer. 🌻
