Last Weekend of Summer

🌞 For the last weekend of summer, I wanted to plan a fun and leisure outdoor day. One of my favorite weekend pastimes is vintage and antique shopping.  So, I made a plan to spend Saturday shopping in the historic downtown district, which is filled with vintage boutiques in beautifully ornate old brick buildings.

I started the morning with breakfast πŸ“ at a local artisan restaurant followed by a morning walk at the beach.

Then I went to the farmer's market and purchased some locally harvested 🐝honey, but had to resist buying a lovely bouquet of flowers 🌻 because I didn't want to leave them in the car while I spent the afternoon shopping.

I made a brief detour to a favorite local coffee shop  for a delicious cup of vanilla latte.

Then I traveled to the downtown district which was already buzzing with activity. I finally spent the afternoon perusing the beautiful boutiques and thrift shops. πŸ‘›

I came home with some lovely housewares that included two wicker baskets, a yellow ceramic flower jug, a vintage kitchen utensil, a lovely floral cake server, and a charming floral satchel.

It was a lovely sunny day, with blue skies and cool breezes, that ended with an early sunset, which reminded me that summer is slowly turning into autumn. πŸ‚
